Spring 2021 in Lockdown
Spring in Kent is coming! Can you feel it? Spring officially starts 20th March and ends 21st June for Summer!
This is the time of year that I think almost all of us look forward to most, following the gloomy winter. As a photographer, especially a family photographer, I personally love Spring, as it’s one of my favourite times for outdoor location photoshoots.
I often find that Spring creeps up upon us, with the dark evenings getting lighter by the day, new flowers bursting to bloom, and new animals coming into the world! However Spring is the season I love to embrace for family photography location shoots and encourage all my clients to have photos done naturally as a family, including newborns out in the rural elements throughout Medway and Kent.
Lockdown Spring 2020
When lockdown hit us in March 2020 none of us could imagine a year later we would be in our third lockdown, and I know for my family and friends in Medway and Kent finding new and interesting places for their children and families to enjoy is a must!
For my kids and close family, we are lucky enough to have the four crazy dogs to drive us out of the house into the local woods and surrounding countryside of Kent, and were lucky enough to move from Strood to Walderslade which has allowed us to explore the new landmarks in the surrounding Kent area. With being a photographer, my children have grown up around the camera, so it’s never far from my side, and even the four legged friends are part of our family photographs!
Spring brings a lot of colour and life to our lives, especially our gardens! I’m no green fingered gardener, but there are a few keen gardeners within the family, it just skipped me!! On our walks recently we have seen the start of the bulbs bursting through the forest floors, mainly daffodils, but some crocus too, and hoping to find some local bluebells in the Walderslade Woods.
Photoshoot locations in spring
Bluebells are one of my favourite location shoots, and I am always on the lookout for new photography hotspots to capture these family memories. See here https://www.hannahcornfordphotography.com/location/ for examples of my work and keep an eye out for our location shoots coming soon (lockdown permitting).
Another of our popular nature location shoots which we are keeping everything crossed we can still achieve this year at the Lavender fields, in Kent. I really hope we get an opportunity to capture some very well needed family moments this year!
